When entering the Fruit Loop Ride you accept the following:
I understand and accept that cycling on public roads is a potentially hazardous activity. I acknowledge that it is my responsibility to ensure that I am physically fit and that my bike is in sound mechanical order prior to undertaking the event. During this event I agree to wear a cycling helmet, abide by the road rules, obey directions of the route marshals and ride with care and consideration of others on the road. In entering the Fruit Loop Ride, and as a condition of such entry, I release The Goulburn Valley Hospice Care Service Inc., its servants and agents from all claims for injury, loss or damage of whatever kind I might suffer as a result of any act or omission whether negligent or otherwise in relation to the event. I understand children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a cycling adult.
All information supplied by me is correct.
Ride Rules
The ride is supported by volunteer marshals and Victoria Police Cyclists must obey road rules and the instructions issued by event staff at all times while participating.
All Riders must:
wear an ASA compliant helmet, inspection may be requrested.
Obey all road rules at all times.
Ride safely and in control.
Look out for hazards and point out hazards to those around you.
Obey the instructions of Event Marshals and Traffic Controllers.
Keep to the left of the road at all times, particularly when no lines exist.
Wear an Australian Standard approved bicycle helmet.
Ride no more than two abreast unless overtaking.
Obey traffic signals (including lights, give way signs and stop signs).
Not use mobile phones, walkmans or iPods etc while riding.
Read and accept the Terms and Conditions of The Fruit Loop Ride.
No Racing or large pelotons
The Fruit Loop ride is not a race. Riders should not ride in large pelotons (no pelotons larger than 20 are permitted on open roads). If two pelotons are riding together, they should allow approximately 0.5km between.
Refund Policy
Please note that requests for refunds must be received before 4 September 2011 either in writing or by email. Requests will not be accepted after this date. A $10 fee will be deducted from the entry fee to cover administration and handling costs.
