When is the Fruit Loop Ride?
Sunday September 16th  2012.

How much is it to enter?
50km - $70
Both 100km and 180km - $90
Late entries, ie: on the day, cost an extra $10
Entries close on Wednesday, September 15th, 3:00pm

What do I get for my money?
Entry Into a prize draw with a chance to win;
            1st Prize - Malvern Star Oppy A4 Road Bike   -in your size ,  valued at $1349
            2nd Prize - Giros Ionos  Helmet valued at $299   - in your size
            3rd Prize - Cateye  Strada Cyclo Computer valued at $199

Will there be anything to eat?
Free BBQ for riders after the event. Food available at Violet Town & Euroa for 180k. Fruit at Katandra.

Shops on the route?
Purchases can be made from Milk Bars on route so some money should be carried with you. There are shops at Dookie, Violet Town, Strathbogie and Euroa for the 180km riders and Katandra and Wunghnu for the 100km riders.

Can I buy a momento of the ride's 10th year?
Yes, we have a newly designed ride jersey for on sale for $80 and socks at $10.00

Do we ride on dirt/ gravel roads?
All sealed roads circuits, road bikes usually ridden but mounatin bikes are okay if slick tyres are fitted.

Are ASA approved helmets required?  Yes, this is a condition of your entry.  An inspection may be requested.

Do I need brakes on my "fixie"?    Yes all bikes must have brakes to be roadworthy.....we cannot let you ride without brakes!

What if my bike breaks?
Mechanical support is available along the route but you are expected to be able to change and repair a puncture. It is also strongly recommended that you have your bike serviced before the event. If major repairs are carried out you will be expected to pay for the materials ie. new tubes, tyres, chains etc.

What if I can't continue?
Recovery and back up vehicle will follow both routes.

Who gets the profit from the ride entry fee?
Goulburn Valley Hospice Care, the charity supported by the ride receives 100% of funds raised.

Is it a race?
The Fruitloop Ride is a ride event and NOT a race.

How do I know my way?
The route will have indicator signs at cross roads and all changes of direction. Police escort out of town. There is a lead car and a tail car for each event.

What time do I have to reach Euroa?
Riders in the 180km event who do not reach Euroa by 2.30 pm  may be requested to either enter the recovery vehicle or leave the ride at that point.

What average speed is required to meet the 180km deadline?
25km per hour.

Does the ride include tandems?
Each tandem rider will be required to pay an entry fee.
